Senior Data Analyst/ Scientist for Acquisition Channels (m/f/d)

Your primary focus will be to revolutionize our ability to scale acquisition channels by spearheading actionable business insights. You will be directly reporting to the VP of Demand Generation, inside the Marketing team, and work closely with our PPC team. This role demands analytical mindset and skills, as you will collaborate with various teams to harness actionable data. By doing so, you will optimize our channels and campaigns, gaining an in-depth understanding of user segments and behaviors, and using it to improve acquisition performance. Building robust relationships with stakeholders is key, as you'll act as the strategic and supportive link between technical and business teams. You will work hand-in-hand with the Data team, ensuring two-way access to key data points, frameworks, and insights. 

Your Tasks
  • Analytics Leadership: Act as the Analytics owner for the PPC team. Ensure both tactical and strategic goals are bolstered by accurate, timely reporting and performance measurement, as well as actionable insights that can drive further optimizations and business growth.
  • Data Science Application: Leverage statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, A/B testing, regression analysis, clustering, and segmentation to enhance PPC strategies.
  • Predictive Modeling: Utilize, improve and/or build predictive models for PPC. These models will optimize bidding strategies, ad targeting, and campaign forecasting.
  • Insightful Analysis: Examine marketing campaigns data to uncover actionable insights and provide guidance on optimizing budget allocation, identifying micro-target audiences, and refining ad creatives.
  • Multi-Channel Evaluation: Analyze marketing data across various channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Youtube Ads and more) to assess campaign performance. Provide segmented funnel analysis, from impressions to paying users.
  • Growth Driver Analysis: Develop a profound analytical understanding of what propels product discovery and adoption, and how it can be amplified.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Efficiently retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources, presenting it in a simplified, actionable format.
  • Analytical Techniques: Choose and execute appropriate analytical and inferential techniques. Interpret results with actionable recommendations and collaborate on building analytical frameworks.
  • Model Development & Escalation: Contribute to the initial development of data models and tools. Escalate complex issues to the relevant Engineering or Data teams.
  • Strategic Communication: Clearly communicate your vision, roadmap, and priorities to senior marketing leaders. Align with business leaders on top priorities and the business value of major initiatives.
  • Storytelling Through Data: Share insights effectively, utilizing dashboards, reports, data visualizations, self-service platforms, slides, internal forums, and ad-hoc inquiries.
  • Overall responsibility for scaling acquisition channels, co-owning the revenue results vs targets especially on PPC together with the channel experts, via various data insights and modeling
You Bring
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role, with a focus on business projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in data analysis, including KPI strategy, time series analysis, and data visualization.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Solid grasp of performance marketing channels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and marketing attribution.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of relational databases,. Excellent skills in SQL & python. Ideally versed with Microsoft Azure, Synapse Analytics, dbt and PowerBI.
  • Metrics Savvy: Knowledgeable in marketing and product metrics and their calculations.
  • Machine Learning Familiarity: Acquainted with classical machine learning algorithms and their application to business issues.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineers.
  • Industry Experience: SaaS experience is highly advantageous.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business insight, analytical capabilities, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and data presentation skills, with the ability to convey objectives, plans, status, roadblocks, and results.
