AdTech Specialist (m / f / d)

Permanent employee, Full-time · Copenhagen

Usercentrics is a global leader in the field of consent management platforms (CMP). We follow our company vision to build a world where user privacy enables a thriving digital ecosystem. Our mission is to provide privacy solutions that empower organizations to embrace data privacy while building trust with their users through freedom of choice. With our product, businesses can collect, manage and document user consents on websites and apps, and achieve full compliance in accordance with global privacy regulations while facilitating high consent rates and building trust with their customers.

As we are rapidly growing we are looking for an Ad Tech Specialist who will shape our publisher products and ad tech strategies. As an Ad Tech Specialist focusing on frameworks like IAB's TCF, GPP, and the overall publisher strategy, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of targeted advertising and privacy solutions. This expert role requires an extensive ad tech background, a deep understanding of the ad tech ecosystem and a strategic vision for product development without the traditional management responsibilities of classical product management roles.
Your Tasks
  • Develop and own the ad tech strategy for Usercentrics' publisher product, ensuring alignment with industry frameworks like IAB's TCF and GPP
  • Act as the product manager, maintaining expertise in targeted advertising technologies and compliance requirements
  • Drive the strategic direction for publisher products, including pricing strategies and competitive positioning
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including publishers, advertisers, regulators and associations to gather insights and influence the ad tech community
  • Evangelize and articulate complex ad tech ideas to resolve customer problems and enhance product offerings
  • Collaborate closely with product development teams, design, sales, and marketing teams to translate technical specifications into market-ready products
  • Communicate product updates, roadmap, and key milestones to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in
  • Document product functionality
  • Collaborate with marketing to effectively launch new services, features and enhancements
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training for internal teams and clients, enhancing understanding and implementation of ad tech solutions
  • Validate and improve product over time through measurement and experimentation
  • Monitor and integrate industry best practices and technological advancements into the product roadmap
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external publisher clients
You Bring
  • Proven experience in ad tech, with a strong background in product management or a similar role within the advertising technology industry
  • Expert knowledge of advertising technology frameworks, targeted advertising, and digital marketing strategies
  • Experience within the IAB Tech Lab or similar regulatory bodies is highly desirable
  • Innate curiosity and ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment. Self-starters and innovators with a positive, collaborative can-do attitude and bias for action are required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
  • Solid understanding of frameworks & standards: TCF, OpenRTB, GPP, VAST, PrebidJs
  • Ability to review/debug customer adtech stack implementations using commonly used tools (Javascript, developer console, Google Publisher Console,...)
  • Knowledge of ad server, DSP and/or SSP systems (i.e. Google Ad Manager, Google Campaign Manager, TTD, Active Agent,...)
  • Ability to wear many hats and learn quickly, and collaborative skills to lead a change in direction when needed
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
  • Open to travel to join industry events
