SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PRIVACY WITH USERCENTRICS
Usercentrics is a global leader in data privacy and privacy-led marketing solutions. We believe there is no need for a trade-off between growth and privacy compliance. Our vision is to unlock the potential of data privacy to empower a thriving digital ecosystem. We work with companies to create a healthy balance between data-driven business and privacy-led marketing for every size of enterprise. Our customers build trust with their users through improved transparency and control to drastically improve marketing and monetization, while achieving full privacy compliance.
As our Senior Legal Tech Expert, you have a solid understanding of the Legal, Privacy and Tech sector. You are a considerate, bright, forward thinking, entrepreneurial candidate, with a passion for software and “legal tech” products — ensuring our global compliance posture evolves in line with our ambitious growth. You are a person with strong communication, hands-on mentality and strong analytical skills. You’ll have the chance to build frameworks, shape governance, and influence how we scale secure, privacy-centric technology globally.
You Bring
- A university degree in Law (fully qualified lawyer), Economics Law, or a comparable field—ideally with a strong focus on Legal Tech, SaaS, Data Privacy, and IT Security—alongside 5+ years of relevant in-house experience in an international legal environment.
- Experience with certification and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), vendor risk management tools, and a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Security, IT, and Engineering teams.
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment, preferably within digital technologies, legal tech, IT security or similar.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international commercial, privacy data protection laws, with a focus on EU legislation, regulatory decisions, and authority guidelines.
- Excellent communication and legal writing skills in English (native or equivalent fluency), with the ability to convey complex legal matters clearly and effectively in a business context.
- A confident, outgoing personality with a proven public presence—comfortable leading workshops, speaking at conferences, and traveling to our European hubs or external engagements as needed.
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Usercentrics we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
