We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to oversee all tax-related matters across our group entities in the United States, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, and Portugal. This role will act as the central owner of global tax compliance, planning, and advisory coordination, covering corporate income tax, VAT/indirect taxes, and transfer pricing.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring strong technical expertise, cross-border coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple external advisors while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and Legal stakeholders.
Prepare and file monthly VAT returns, Intrastat returns, and EC Sales Lists on time to ensure tax compliance.
Develop and implement regular checks on accounting records to ensure transactions are reported correctly.
Support transfer pricing initiatives (Country by country reporting, master file/local file, intercompany agreements, TP forms, etc.)
Monitor updates in tax legislation and regulations internationally to minimize risk and maintain full compliance
Act as a key liaison with external consultants, auditors, and regional tax managers, particularly concerning transfer pricing documentation.
Lead the preparation and filing of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns, Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation
Serve as the main contact point for local tax authorities and auditors during tax audits and investigations, ensuring smooth communication and compliance resolution.
Support cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) on tax implications
Ensure tax compliance calendars are maintained and deadlines are met
Support tax accounting under relevant local GAAP and IFRS (in the future)
Provide tax advice for potential M&A transactions
Identify process improvements and automation opportunities
Education: University degree in Economics, Accounting, or Taxation. A qualification such as ACCA or CPA certification is a strong plus.
Experience: Proven professional experience in tax-related roles, ideally in audit and compliance within an international environment (e.g., public accounting, Tech SaaS).
Excellent command of English;
NetSuite and Avalara experience would be a plus
Ability to prioritize work, problem-solve, and meet deadlines under pressure
Proactive, independent, and responsible with strong interpersonal skills
Commercial thinking and the ability to translate tax issues to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
