Senior Events Marketing Manager (f/m/d)

Usercentrics is seeking an experienced Events Marketing Manager to own its Event Marketing program. You have exceptional leadership and communication skills, a deep understanding of event marketing strategy and operations, and a proven track record of successful organization of and participation in events. 

You will drive the strategy, execution, and return on investment of industry trade shows and conferences, thought leadership-centred webinars, and other in-person and online events. We are based in Europe, and most events will be held there for now, but we do plan on international expansion, which would require additional travel. 

You will report to the Head of Marketing, working very closely with other members of the Marketing team, Partnerships, Sales, and others. Our collective goal is effective communication and engagement in order to produce high quality and successful events.

Your Tasks
  • Establish and implement an effective Event Marketing strategy (online and in-person) to facilitate demand generation
  • Full responsibility for the Event Marketing funnel, from lead generation through nurturing to conversion, using Pardot’s engagement studio programs
  • Lead strategic planning of the annual and quarterly events calendar and budget (in close collaboration with the CMO)
  • Full responsibility over the Events Marketing budget with a focus on delivering high quality leads (MQLs and SQLs) and generating pipeline, while maximizing the return on investment of each event
  • Guide and oversee team efforts to plan, promote, execute and report on all our events 
  • Managing one direct report
  • Plan, execute, and handle all aspects of conference sponsorships, including coordination of logistics such as equipment, marketing collateral, promotional giveaways, and company travel requirements
  • Design and oversee all promotional activities before, during, and after campaigns in partnership with cross-functional Marketing stakeholders, as well as the Sales team, to ensure effective lifecycle marketing
  • Manage external relationships (vendors, venues, agencies, and media partners) to ensure smooth operations and ensure maximum value 
  • Manage internal communications to ensure timely and high quality execution of all event marketing programs (Creative, WebDev, Analytics, Social Media, Content, PR, Performance, Partnerships, Sales, BDR, etc.)
  • Optimize programs by tracking all metrics, analyzing results and ROI, and acting upon them accordingly
  • Travel as needed for field marketing programs

  • Comprehensive project management skills
  • Event management experience
  • Proven track record of successful event organization and participation
  • Full understanding of the B2B marketing funnel
  • SaaS experience a plus
  • Industry knowledge: where our audience is, what they are interested in
  • Effective communication with internal stakeholders to get buy-in
  • Leadership and management skills (internal and external stakeholders)
  • Email marketing skills
  • Tools: Asana, Pardot/Salesforce, Excel/Google Sheets, Zoom webinars
  • English language fluency, German language skills a plus
  • An interest in the privacy landscape and willingness to learn about Consent Management
